Yes. This is the thing we must, must get right. Have to.
A brief anecdote from our trip. Matt had a sinus infection and we wound up going to an Aussie emergency room to get antibiotics before we went off into the South Pacific. That visit cost A$80, because we aren't members of Australia's medicare, and we were there about 2 hrs.
Last summer we had to take Laura to an ER in Virginia while we were traveling, because I was worried she had meningitis. That visit (to rule out meningitis) cost $1300. Obviously most people are not going to be able to pay that bill.
Don't get me started on what we are paying for COBRA (and getting damn little in return).
So much wrong. It's hard to wrap my brain around it.
